Barr Al Jissah Resort Company, the luxury ITC development, has been confirmed as a headline partner for Blancpain Endurance Cup racing driver Ahmad Al Harthy’s 2016 motorsport season.
Fresh from his ‘official’ season launch in Muscat, the Aston Martin Middle East and North Africa ambassador says the brand new agreement with Barr Al Jissah forms an extremely important part of his motor racing plans for the coming year.
Driving once again for the Oman Racing Team powered by Motorbase in the world’s most popular and competitive GT championship, piloting an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3, 34-year-old Ahmad is overjoyed to be associated with the esteemed business.
“Partnering with Barr Al Jissah Resort Company is extremely important for my racing career and central to our plans for this season – I am thrilled we will be working closely together as we share the same vision for excellence and success”, said Ahmad.
“The development at Barr Al Jissah is exceptional, a wonderful destination in Oman, and it is an absolute pleasure for me to be linked to such an incredible brand. Enjoying the support of such a prominent Omani company will be mutually beneficial for all involved in this project.”
Barr Al Jissah is the prestigious business behind Oman’s leading luxury destination, a magnificent development of property – including three five star hotels managed by Shangri-La – situated just 20 minutes outside Muscat where the mountainous Oman coastline meets the Arabian Sea.
On behalf of Barr Al Jissah, Firas Matraji, CEO commented: “We are extremely excited to be partnering with Ahmad during what is expected to be a successful season for Ahmad and the team. It seemed a perfect fit for us, bringing together the best in Oman motorsport with our world class destination, and we are very much looking forward to supporting him during the season ahead.”
Ahmad Al Harthy will be partnered at the Oman Racing Team this year by British duo Jonny Adam, an Aston Martin ‘works’ driver, and Devon Modell. The Blancpain Endurance Cup championship season gets underway over the weekend 23rd/24th April at Monza in Italy.
